Traditional sugar shack located only 15 minutes from Tremblant. For five generations, the Millette family has maintained this time-honoured Québécois "sugaring-off" tradition. Guests are warmly greeted by staff dressed in traditional costumes. A history of the maple grove and guided tours demonstrate how sap is tapped from our maple trees and collected into a horse-drawn barrel, reminiscent of bygone years. Tours are available all year round.
The Millette "sugar shack" is a first choice tourist destination. Awards include: grand prix of quebec tourism 1995 for best small enterprise of the year; honourable mention in 2002; "business of the year" under category tourist attraction for the year 2002 by the Chamber of Commerce of Mt-Tremblant.
Rest assured that your visit with us will be an original experience, returning to old folkloric Quebec tradition where our cultural inheritance leaves you with memorable moments.
We offer a variety of activities for all seasons. Our menu is adaptable to any specific event you need to celebrate. Our traditional "sugar shack" meal complimented by warm maple taffy poured over fresh snow is available all-year round. A Quebec folkloric animator/musician is available upon request. Thematic evenings and meals, as well as special group activities, are also an option. We assure you that your time spent at Cabane à Sucre Millette will be exceptional.
Our sugar shack is one of the major tourist attractions of the region. Souvenirs of our ancestral past include over 300 antique wall exhibits. We offer a guided tour where we illustrate the gradual process which transforms sap into maple syrup. A walk through our maple grove will eventually lead you to our first sugar shack constructed by Odilon Millette in 1877. Come and join us, and together we will keep our tradition alive.
